Waste Not Consulting is in search of a Recycling Field Technician. The Recycling Field Technician is responsible for visiting our clients to install basic equipment, address issues, and inspect and survey their waste and recycling containers and trash enclosure areas. This job requires regular driving to cities throughout Southern California and the Recycling Field Technician should ideally enjoy driving and be comfortable spending long hours in a vehicle. This position also requires occasional office days where the Field Technician will write reports, upload images, make phone calls to schedule services, and maintain databases. The Field Technician is also responsible for educating businesses and distributing flyers about waste and recycling laws and best practices. The ideal job applicant would independent minded, enjoy driving, be comfortable talking to people, and ocassionally getting their hands (gloves) dirty. Occasionally the Field Technician will be required to conduct a physical waste audit with other team members during evening hours and may be required to travel out of the region or out of the state. This is a part-time position scheduled 9am-5pm for three days a week, with flexibility on work days, and is ideal for someone who is in college, needs supplemental income, or who is looking for a second job.
